| Description : | This is a "National" cash register with a large rectangular glass window at the top. There is a metal plate attached below the window that displays the serial number (1665024 75 6.G). This window displays white price tabs with black type. The front of the register is curved with a hinged lid. The register is made of metal, but has an imitation wood finish. There are two rows of coloured (red, black, white, yellow, and blue)circular keys (33 in total) on the front of the register. A paper label has been taped to the right side of the cash register, which lists the sales tax scheduel "effective Apr. 1, 1966". There is a white plastic shelf over the drawer (a large piece of the shelf has broken off and is missing from the right side). Attached to the right side of the register case is a box possibly for the register tape. The finish is worn on the front of the drawer. According to the yellow catalogue card, the drawer is divided into compartments.It is believed that this model was made c. 1905. Height: 43.5 cm, Base Width: 41.5 cm, Base Depth: 50.7cm ORIGINAL |
