Commentaires : The sign came from the United Church at Branchton, which was closed in 1971 when the Branchton and Sheffield charges were amalgamated at Sheffield. The father of the donor, William Kemkes, was on the Board of Stewards and was responsible for selling off or disposing of most of the contents of the church. The sign was in the possession of the family from that time until now. The stone church, on the main street of Branchton, was converted into a private residence.
