Description : Kitchener Centennial wooden nickel. Obverse (principal surface) is stamped: KITCHENER CENTENNIAL/WOODEN NICKEL/1854 - 5 - 1954/SOUVENIR. Reverse Reverse has image of two people standing within a gothic frame and lettering: CITY OF KITCHENER/JUNE 27 1854/JULY 3 1954.

Commentaires : This commemorative coin came from the collection of the donor, whose family business was Kitchener Buttons Ltd. The woodworking division of Kitchener Buttons was sold in 1950 to Master Craft Wood Turning Ltd., which made a wide range of commemorative coins.
