Description : | Metal case for a street lamp which was originally located on Victoria Street, Berlin (Kitchener). The case consists of a square-walled lamp housing with glass walls (glass is missing), one side of which is a door hinged to one corner post. Pagoda-shaped roof, surmounted by two inverted cone-shaped ventilation caps. Beneath the floor of the lamp housing is a hollow funnel-like base which would probably have been mounted to the top of a lamp post. A kerosene lamp would have been set into the housing. The case was originally painted dark green and repainted in parts lighter green. No maker's mark.(.2) Green colour cone that attaches to the top of the streetlamp.
