There is a cream border around the image, the title is printed in the border under the image.
Fonctions : The Arch of Trajan in Ancona, Italy was built in 114/115 AD to celebrate the Roman General and Emporer Trajan. This image was engraved by J. Sands based on a picture by W.H Bartlett which was published in "The Rhine, Italy and Greece in a Series of Drawing" around 1841. W.H Bartlett was a prolific print illustrator who travelled to all of the location he drew. His drawings were commissioned by printers to be turned into engravings. He was born in 1809 and died in 1854. http://www.kittyprint.com/KTP/HTML/Bartlett.html

Items donated by Barbara Sayers Larson. Barbara Larson is the daughter of Annie Harris (1882-1986) and Beverly Sayers (1883-1976) and granddaughter of Arthur (1843-1932) and Mary (1859- 1954) Harris. Many of the items donated by Barbara originally belonged to her mother or Aunt Naomi and came from Benares. Barbara lived in a log cabin originally given to her mother by her grandparents at 1723 Birchwood Drive. She still maintains a close tie with Benares and is now living in Kelowna, British Columbia, with her daughter.
