Fonctions : | Nora Clench (1867-1938) was born in St. Marys, Ontario. When she was very young, it became apparent that she had an extraordinary musical talent. Her father, Leon Clench, taught her to play the violin and made her first instruments. Leon died in 1883 when Nora was 16. This violin is the last one he made for her. Nora Clench went on to a career as an internationally known concert violinist. Although she was given a number of wonderful instruments to play on stage, she kept this violin made by her father with her always. |
