Description : | A large doll with bisque face, composition body, jointed arms and lower legs and cloth upper legs. The face has painted rosy cheeks, lips and nostrils, brown hair, black lashes and blue glass eyes. The doll is wearing a white cotton dress with lace and eyelet rim down the middle and matching pantaloons. There is a pink bow at its neck and on each knitted booty. Maker's mark on the back of the neck reads: Germany/ 1916/ 7a. |
Fonctions : | This doll was the 1916 Eaton's Beauty doll. Eaton's Beauty dolls were featured in the company's Fall/Winter catalogue every year beginning in 1900. The dolls were normally imported from Europe; however during World War I they were made by Canadian companies. |
