Description : | Reindeer leg skin boots with knitted socks. Top of leg decorated with wide band of wool with a strip of blue inverted triangles over a strip of white inverted triangles. Laces are braided with red, blue and yellow yarns. Reindeer leg skin sole has an insole seam with the hair on the front piece flowing towards the back and the hair on the back piece flows forward for extra traction. The tip of the curl is sewn so the seam allowance is visible on the outside at the tip. The toe curls up into a medium three-quarter curl.Side strip extedns from the side-heel to just before the toe begins to curl. The tip of the curl is sewn so the seam allowance is visible on the outside at the tip. Heel is cut from skin with the same coloured hair as the rest of the boot. Heel piece is narrow. The vamp extends from the toe to the top of the boot. Red felt in the vamp seam. The boot is slipped on and laced up with the vamp extending up and forming a separate tongue. Four eyelets cut into home tanned and barked leather casing and same material used for csing at top of boot. Top decorated with a red band with blue and white zigzag felt sewn to band. Socks hare hand knit from hand spun wool, then washed in hot water to shrink them so the are partially felted and very dense. |
