Description : | Dehaired and barked reindeer and seal skin boots. Dehaired, barked sole extends up to the vamp and side panels, the heel is formed with a T-seam. Seal skin sole with shaved hair, birch barked reindeer skin for upper leg section. Toe curls up into a pointed peak. The vamp extends from the toe to the top of the boot. The boot is attached with boot straps with a loop sewn into each vamp seam at the ankle. Loops are made by twisting a narrow strip of barked skin. Leg section has been folded to the inside and the top four inches tacked into place toc reate a double layer of skin. Boot is tied with two-strand twisted barked leather lacing with leather tassels. From boot loops to the centre front point an extra strip of thread is placed along the seam and sewn into position. Leg section sem allowance is folded back and top stitched to leg section-sole seam. |
