Description : Yellow and green pigmented hide shoes with beaded foxing. Pointed, assymetrical toe, worn rawhide soles with hole at toe area of left shoe. Upper of native tanned hide, with slanted cut up to back seam where the upper is fringed and slightly pigmented with a reddish colour. 11 lazy stitched rows of about 5 beads each on outside quarter of left shoe, half way up back seam of green translucent beads with one white, three blue and two black beads scattered in. Inside half of upper pigmented with dark green, outer half of dark yellow and "V" shaped insert, with extended tabs which are fringed at ends, pigmented with a lighter green shade. Lazy stitched beaded bands made up of blocks of white, translucent green, pale blue, and translucent red running down division betwen vamp and quarter area and running along the perimeter of the forehalf of the sole, as well as up the centre front of the vamp to the bottom of the insert. A white beaded "zig-zag" inset through three blocks of other colours at the widest part of the vamp. Seam along insert beaded with translucent green and red, and white beads with the stitching that attaches the insert to the rest of the shoe. Beaded flag in same colours attached to tip of insert and appliqued fringe with tin cones sewn down the centre front with the stitches that attach the beaded band. Thong lace run around the perimeter of the shoes and tied in a knot at the throat. Two knots of thong tied into the skin on the outside quarters.
