Description : This photograph shows figure skating pairs Barbara Wagner and Robert Paul posing on the ice. In the image, Paul's left arm and leg are extended outward, and his right knee is bent. His right arm is around Wagner's waist as she sits on his right thigh. Wagner's right arm is extended outward and her right leg is crossed over her left. Both skaters are smiling as they look off to the right. Wagner is dressed in a white skating dress, and Paul is wearing a dark skating suit. This is a glossy black and white photograph.
Fonctions : In 1957, Barbara Wagner and Bob Paul won the Canadian, North American and World Championships in pairs figure skating. All 3 events were won in a 16 day period. This success continued at the 1960 Winter Olympics at Squaw Valley where they won gold - the first time that the gold had gone to a non-European pair.
