Description : | This colour photograph shows an informal, full length action shot of Kurt Browning in a figuring skating routine. In the image he is on ice, wearing a brown shirt and black rubber pants. His legs are spread apart, and he is looking slightly right of the camera. The background is of the spectator stands and edge of the rink, but it is blurry. The photograph has been autographed by Browning. |
Fonctions : | Browning had an amateur skating career for 11 years - at the 1988 World Championships he won 6th place after performing the first quadruple toe loop ever landed in competition. At the 1989 World Championships he won his first World Championship gold and retained this title in 1990 and 1991. In 1990, Browning won the Lionel Conacher Award and the Lou Marsh Trophy. He placed 6th at the 1992 Olympics and 2nd at the World Championships. In his career, Browning was the fourth Canadian man to win a world figure skating championship and the first Canadian to win four world titles. |
