Description : This colour photograph shows an informal, full length action shot of Kurt Browning during a figuring skating routine. In the image he is on ice, wearing a striped shirt and grey pants. His left leg is extended outwards and he is holding his left arm with his right hand. He is looking upwards and slightly to the right of the camera.
Fonctions : Browning had an amateur skating career for 11 years - at the 1988 World Championships he won 6th place after performing the first quadruple toe loop ever landed in competition. At the 1989 World Championships he won his first World Championship gold and retained this title in 1990 and 1991. In 1990, Browning won the Lionel Conacher Award and the Lou Marsh Trophy. He placed 6th at the 1992 Olympics and 2nd at the World Championships. In his career, Browning was the fourth Canadian man to win a world figure skating championship and the first Canadian to win four world titles.
