Description : This is a black and white photograph of Horse Racing. This is the second in a series of four photographs. A group of horses and their uniformed jockeys are racing around a large turn in the track. Behind them are the stands, full with spectators. A caption on a separate piece of cardboard reads, "This series of pictures was taken during the running of the 1970 Queen's Plate at Woodbine race track, Toronto. It begins with the horses breaking from the starting gate, then shows them at various stages along the route of the 1 1/4-mile race, then Almoner coming home in front. Jockey Sandy Hawley and the owner, Malcolm Smith, parade the horse to a presentation by Lt.-Gov. W. Ross Macdonald. The pictures were provided by The Ontario Jockey Club Ltd.
