Description : In this black and white photograph of figure skater Barbara Wagner and her partner Robert Paul, the pair are standing side by side and smiling as they hold their personal Lou Marsh Memorial Trophy award statues, which they won in 1959. Wagner is dressed in a dark suit and is wearing pearls around her neck and wrists. Paul is dressed in a dark suit.
Fonctions : In 1957, Barbara Wagner and Bob Paul won the Canadian, North American and World Championships in pairs figure skating. All 3 events were won in a 16 day period. This success continued at the 1960 Winter Olympics at Squaw Valley where they won gold - the first time that the gold had gone to a non-European pair.
