Description : This photograph shows an informal image of Gaetan Boucher wearing a suit, his head slightly tilted to the left -he is smiling. His right arm appears to be lifted. An image of Boucher speed skating is mounted on the wall behind him, to the left. In the background on the right, the Canadian flag is partially apparent.
Fonctions : At the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, Gaetan Boucher became the first Canadian ever to win an individual gold medal. With four medals - two golds, a silver and a bronze - he became the nation's most decorated Olympian - his gold medals were in the 1,000m and 1,500m events.
