| Description : | Homemade felt dollar mat. Geometrical shapes of coloured felt sewn into geometrical patterns. Mat backed with another type of fabric. Maroon, green, beige circles. Rectangular white ground onto which is sewn a diamond pattern circles of cloth. Three concentric circles in each one. Different colours, grey, black, red, beige, brown plaid, yellow, maroon, black scalloped border. Maroon scalloped trim. |
| Commentaires : | Known as a dollar mat. Coins were often used as a shape to trace the dots. From the mid 19th to early 20th century. This piece is original to the Doak Historic Site. |
