Commentaires : | This sewing table still contains many of the sewing notions once used by Cecelia (lefurgey) Wyatt. According to Miss Wanda Wyatt's journals, her mother Cecelia used to spend time working her fancywork in the study, in her favourite rocking chair alongside her husband James Edward (Ned) Wyatt as he worked at his desk. Cecelia studied Music & Art at Mount Allison Ladies Collage and travelled widely. A sufferer of asthma and gastrointestinal ailments she visited health spas and sanatoria across North America. The daughter of a shipbuilder and merchant from Summerside, it is said that the home she and husband Ned moved into was a wedding present from her father, located across the lawn from her childhood home. |
