Description : | The camera is rectangular in shape. It is made of aluminium with a leatherette covering. A leather strap with the "Brownie" name is attached to the top. The circular glass lens is located on the front of the camera. On one side, a metal winding key was used to wind the film. |
Commentaires : | Production of the Kodak Brownie No. 2 series began in 1901, and continued through to 1935. It was manufactured in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Throughout this period, a number of variations of the camera were produced. Kodak Brownie cameras were mass-produced and originally cost two dollars. The inexpensiveness meant that they were generally aimed at amateur photographers. This is likely the F model (Canadian), produced between 1928 and 1931. It used 120 film, which was first introduced for the Brownie. Kodak Brownie box cameras remain one of the most common box cameras still in existence today. |
