| Commentaires : | This chalice and paten was presented to the Basilica Cathedral by Patrick F. Halley on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Catholic Church in Newfoundland. The items are used only on special occasions. |
| Fonctions : | This chalice and paten has historically been reserved for the use of the Archbishop of St. John's on special occasions. It was also used by His Holiness Pope John Paul II in 1984 and during the 150th Anniversary Celebrations. |
