| Description : | This is a series of three photographs that show some members of the crew of the Annie Anita and Mary Bernice which sank on August 25, 1935 in a gale. This photograph depicts a man sitting in the woods whom is Dominic Walsh of Marystown South. |
| Commentaires : | The August Gale, August 25, 1935, was Marystown's worst marine disaster. It took place off of the coast of Cape St. Mary's. The August Gale caused the sinking of the ships "Annie Anita" and "Mary Bernice" taking with them all of the crew members. The August Gale saw the loss of, William Patrick Walsh, father and his sons Captain James Walsh, Jerome, and Frank. Captain James Walsh had a daughter born the same night as the gale. |
