| Description : | Moccasins,Pr-leather,beaded; Moccasins(Pr). Plains. 7 3/4" long x 3" wide (approx). 1 1/2" fringe along back.Solid beaded uppers on smoked hide, pink border area with repeat cross, geometric shapes on apple green background. Cuffs are also beaded trimmed with red fabric tape with white open zig zag. Tongue cut with a fork (3" L x 2 1/4" W) sewn with red wool welt. Short wrap around cuff (2 1/2" W) around wrap (18 1/2" L). Bead colours: yellow, cheyenne pink apple green, dark blue, antique rose, cranberry, black, white porcelain. These mocassins combine a lot of different elements and are difficult to position in any one style (Dakota motifs, Cree spot-stitch, Ojibwe open work on red cloth, wrap-around). |
