Description : | Crocheted straps are 8.625"/22 cm long. Crocheted bodice is 7.5" to 8.5" deep with large 'scalloped' edge where it is joined to cotton skirt. Pattern is a basket with spray of flowers. Cotton skirt is 24" long with a 1" tuck at very edge of hem sewn in by hand. Hand to tell front from back. 3" below crocheted bodice on each side, there is a 6.5" gathered part. 2 short side seams from gathered part to bodice and a separate long seam from gathered part to hem on left side. 2.5" wide eyelet border. Anne-Marie says she was a very short lady. |
Fonctions : | Belonged to Marguirite Egan aged 94 when she died 23 July 1998 in Yarmouth County. She was b. in Yarmouth, do/o Harry and Mary (Leblanc) McKinley - a very musical family. She was a life time employee of Maritime Tel & tel. She met & married her husband in Annapolis Royal. They later moved to Kentville. She was active in St Joseph's Church in Kentville. They had no children. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was buried in Lower Sackville by her husband. She gave the slip to AMB. |
