Description : 15" x 10.5" or 38 cm x 26.5 cm - 2 pieces semi circle in shape. Scalloped edge with thick blanket / crewel edging - 1 large scallop, 2 small ones, 1 large, 2 small, etc. 29 eyelets on each one, for lacing together with narrow silk ribbon. One side has oval center edged with eyelets and a fancy "J" embroidered in center. Swirled leaf pattern around the oval. Embroidery done in white thread.
Fonctions : Belonged to Doris James (1896-1925) b. Montreal. Letter "J" embroidered on one side.  Frank Carey a retired United Church minister and missionary. Born in Montreal married to Jean Blenkhorn d/o of Scott Blenkhorn, Canning, Axe Factory.
