Description : | Handwoven fabric resembles burlap. Two handwoven handles are embroidered with gold feather stitch. Edges have buttonholes stitched in gold and brown. Gold brown fringe at bottom. Front is embroidered in wool with six malt coloured flowers, back has three flowers in upper left corner. Bag is lined with light brown bengaline. One inside pocket is stitched down with chain stitch. |

Fonctions : | Henry Kenneth Bentley was twice married to (1) Maie Lavinia Parker (1884-1942) on December 7, 1911 and (2) to Lalie Beatrice Parker (1883-1956) on January 20, 1944. Many of the textiles are behaved by the donor to have been created by Lalie Beatrice Parker or her sister - both women were sisters. |
