Description : | This is a halftone image printed on to a postcard template. There are no clues as to the publisher. The stamp box requires a "3 cent stamp." This splitback postcard was "Made in Canada". This image shows Queen Annapolisa XVII with 11 princess and three girls who were attendants. |
Fonctions : | Queen Annapolisa XVIII was olive Lewis, Princess Digby. The donor, Ruth Keddy nee Perrier, was Princess New Minas. She is the 2nd Princess to the right of the Queen. A full list of the Princesses is recorded in the "Blossom Edition" of the Advertiser dated May 1951 (p.7). The 11 princesses represent "a larger group of princesses than had accompanied any previous queen..." (Blossom Edition..p7) this was the first time that a Princess Digby had been crowned queen. |
