| Description : | WWII era war savings stamp book. The cover has a blue base with a woman wearing a blue hat and red & white dress holding out stamps. It says, "War Savings Stamp Book" and gives the option to write your name and address. Somebody wrote "50" on the front. The back has the same picture and words but also says "Always Carry This Stamp Booklet For Convenience". This could be used at banks, post offices, department stores, druggists, grocers, tobacconists, bookstores and other retail stores (as stated inside the book). There are 8 stamps per page, some pink, some blue. The book is not completely filled. Middle of book says that each savings stamp buys 12 bullets. Last page gives instructions to redeem savings certificates at post offices or banks. |
