Strings are 0.5" wide. Around the bottom of the purse (2 sides) is a single strand of tiny silvery beads twisted and tacked at 0.25" intervals to form a decorative fringe. In the vee of the purse's front, the pattern consists of oval links, with every other link in brass beads. In the center is a heavily beaded and padded spray of silvery beads. A single strand of silvery beads borders the vee 0.25" from the edge. Also has leaf-like motifs in the border. On the back of the purse the chain design is repeated (brass and silver). It is bordered by two single lines of silvery beads. On each side of the purse by the drawstring are three double strands of beads. On the top edges and two sides the seam is outlined with beads. The purse has fine silk lining. Attached to the lining is a small pouch for coins. Top inside edge has a dainty bunch of silk (same as the lining).
