Commentaires : | The Guiding Movement officially started in Canada soon after the Crystal Palace Rally in England and by 1911 the first company was registered in Halifax. It is generally accepted today that groups of girls, although not registered, were organized in various communities even earlier, and Kings I was no exception. In 1919 in Wolfville, Mrs. Percy Brown, wife of the Scout Master was instrumental in organizing the 1st Wolfville Guide Company which was the first to be registered in Kings County. In the year 2010 Girl Guides will celebrate 100 years in Canada. |
