Description : Neckpiece. Mink made from 4 minks - heads, feet and tails included. Heads all face same way. 2 mink attached side by side by 5 crocheted rings. (White fur on bellies). Other 2 minks attached at upper center mink. 4 chains on upper part of outer minks to attach/close neckpiece - one long and one short at each end.
Fonctions : The fur pieces belonged to the West sisters, Acadia St., Wolfville. Gladys West taught school in Wolfville for over 40 years. One of her sisters worked at Hale's store in Wolfville (now a parking lot west of P.O.) and another worked at the Town Office in Wolfville. Their house was a duplex, south side of Acadia, west of Highland Ave.
