Description : An oval sepia coloured photograph of William Skynner wearing a dark coloured suit jacket.
Fonctions : William Skynner was the grandson of Commander John Skynner, who lived in the Anchorage in Clarkson. Barbara recalls 'Uncle Willie' visiting Benares often. His parents were Henry Skynner and Mary Merigold Jarvis. William Skynner knew the Harris family through his sister, Emily Mary Louisa Skynner, who married Henry (Harry) Draper. Harry Draper was a close friend to Arthur Harris.William would later marry Sarah Keech Gilbert of New Brunswick but sadly she passed away during the birth of their child who also did not survive. William travelled to Western Canada for various business ventures and later died in Yale, British Columbia on March 29th, 1939 at the age of 78. Barbara recalls Willie "as my favourite! He used to send me pictures form B.C. that are in my album!!".
