Description : A black and white postcard of the Streetsville Public Library. The building is a white clapboard structure with three upper windows and two larger windows on each side of the front door. The United Church is just visible to the right. A black car is parked in front of the library. The reverse of the postcard has an area designated for the postal stamp. In the centre reads, "POST CARD; CORRESPONDENCE; ADDRESS".
Fonctions :
The area that would become Streetsville was first settled after the Second Mississauga Purchase in 1818. The land was surveyed by Timothy Street and Richard Bristol. Streetsville was incorporated into a Village in 1858 and it was amalgamated into the City of Mississauga in 1974.
