Fonctions : | Ethel (Ward) Colloton (b. 1882) was Kay Sayers's mother. She lived in Victoria Mines, east of Sudbury. She married Reginald Colloton on November 8th 1905 and moved to Lorne Park circa the Great War. She was head of the Women's Institute in Lorne Park/Clarkson. She was well liked in the community. She died of pneumonia at age 65 on October 10 1937.Kathleen Agnes (Colloton) Sayers (1906 -1981) was Geoffrey Harris Sayers' wife. Kathleen was the daughter of Reginald Brock Colloton and Ethel Mary Ward. Geoffrey Sayers and Kathleen married in 18 November 1933 at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Erindale, which the Harris family had been members of for almost a hundred years. Geoff and Kay occupied Benares from 1969 until 1981. They kept a small display of artifacts in the kitchen, and opened up the house once a year to the public. Kay and Geoffrey never had any children and were the last Harris descendents to live at Benares. |
