Description : | A one page typed press release announcing a copy of the film "The Cinderella Township" will soon be on its way to Buckingham Palace as a gift to the Queen and Prince Philip. The film was produced by Ashley & Crippen Ltd as "a continuing campaign to attract new industry within" the township's borders. The gift was inspired by Prince Philip during his Royal residence in Ottawa, in which he spoke "not only of the economic, but the human relationship entering into Canada's industrial development". A response from the Private Secretary to the Queen reveals "Her Majesty will be pleased to accept the film offered by the Reeve." The press release also notes: since the film's completion it has appeared on televise and "is in current demand as a vehicle to interest potential industries in Canada and abroad." Fonctions : | The film "The Cinderella Township" (1957) was produced by Ashley & Crippen Studio of Toronto as "a continuing campaign to attract new industry within" the township's borders. It was directed by Dan Gibson, scripted by Ken Armstrong, a resident of the Township for many years, and Joel Aldred, well-known commentator, did the narration.
