Fonctions : Item was found in the rafters of the Anchorage while restoration was being done to the building in the 1980s. The last residential owner to live at the Anchorage was Jim Davidson in 1953; he later sold the property to National Sewer Pipe Company. The Canadian Pacific Railway Company was incorporated on 1881 to form a railway line to link to Canada's West, the line was completed in 1885. The company took over some local CVR stations and remained operational until the late 1960s. In 1926 it begun operation of an express company which it took over from the Dominion Express Company (est. ca. 1882). The Canadian Express Company operated this express service as a separate company from CPR and would involve the movement of food items, livestock, small animals, birds, cash and valuables.
