Description : A marriage certificate of Theodore Franklin Gould and Mary Featherstone who were married on July 10th, 1929 at Creemore, in Simcoe County. The paper certificate has perforated edges on the proper right side. The centre panel of the certificate, upon which all pertinent information is recorded, has a beige background with blue printing. The centre panel is surrounded by a white border on which is printed a fine, blue, geometrical design. At the right proper side of the beige panel is printed sideways: 'Marriage Certificate' with the publishers name in small printing that reads: 'James M. Robertson, Toronto'. Gothic script is used for some parts of the document, the rest is printed in italicised letters separately abut slanted. The signatures of the certificate include witnesses Mary S. Mackay, J.K. Featherstone and officiating minister Wm. A. MacKay.
Fonctions : Marriage certificate believed to be of the second marriage of Mary Thurston (Aug 29 1871-Nov 22, 1958) the former wife of Joseph Featherstone. After Joseph passed away in 1913 Mary married Theodore Franklin Gould of Streetsville and where she would spend the remainder of her life.
