Description : | A white envelope with a black border around the entire front. It is postmarked "CREDIT 6 Septr 44 U.C." and has a square brown stamped message indicating that postage was paid. Brown ink writing over the square stamp reads: 1/2 and 1/4 followed by initials.The envelope is addressed: Charles E. Magrath Esqr., Post Offic, Dublin, Ireland." The reverse of the envelope is closed at the flap with dark green sealing wax ipressed with a Gothic style "M". There is black wax below that. A postmark on the backof the envelope reads: "QUEBEC SEP 10, 1844 L.C. |
