Description :	A playbill for the Royal Alexandra Theatre, Season 1946 - 1947 with information on the production of Bernard Shaw's 'Pygmalion'. On the cover, a card with a crown and ribbons, followed by the title and date: "Week of May 5th". In the background, a series of vertical lines, 1 mm apart. The playbill is three 30.4 x 23 cm sheets of paper folded in half to create a twelve-page booklet. The booklet is held together with two staples. Page 3 lists the cast of characters including Dora Sayers as Clara Eynsford-Hill and Ralph Forbes as Alfred Doolittle. The playbill also carries advertisements for Elizabeth Arden, Frederick's Lingerie, Birks Diamonds, Joan Rigby, The Barclay Hotel, Ruby Cook Millinery, Club Norman, Export Cigarettes, and Eaton's.
Fonctions :	Bernard Shaw's production of Pygmalion showed at the Royal Alexander Theatre in 1946 and 1947. The starring actors included Gertrude Lawrence as Eliza Doolittle and Dennis King as the professor Henry Higgins. Ralph Forbes appeared in the play as Eliza's father while Dora Sayers played the character of Clara.
