Fonctions : | Photograph belonged to Mary Fix who was a former member of the Toronto Township Historical Foundation. The group was founded in 1960 to help save the Lewis Bradley's pioneer home from demolition. It was owned by Lewis Bradley who was one of the first families to settle in the Merigold Point's area of Clarkson in Toronto Township. The house was used by various families until it sat empty on land owned by British American Oil Company. The house was bought by Ken Armstrong and donated to the Township. Money was raised to have it moved further north from the Lake and restoration took place to have it open as a museum. |
