Description : An iron wrench. It is made from one piece of iron. It has a rounded handled, which curves up than down to form the square head of the wrench. The square head is 6 x 6cm.
Fonctions : Wrench most likely used on the Harris farm. When James Beveridge Harris bought the property in 1837 more than half of the cleared land was used for growing grains with a small percent used for garden crops and apple orchards. By the 1900s, most of the land was used for apple orchards and a change started to occur between subsistence farming to commercial crop farming. Along with apples and strawberries, Arthur Harris (who inherited the farm in 1884) also kept dairy cattle, chicken, geese and peacocks on his farm.
