Description : A June 28 1967 edition of the Mississauga News. The newspaper has a total of 52 pages and contains articles on the various activities within Toronto Township including the dedication of the Centennial Gardens in Port Credit. The cover of the newspaper is printed in red and blue ink and include the Canadian, Ontario and Union Jack flag.
Fonctions : The Mississauga News was founded in 1965 and Ken Armstrong was its first publisher. The paper was first published by Inland Publishing Co. Limited and was later taken over by Metrospan Printing and Publishing Ltd in 1981.This special supplement from 1967 was published to celebrate Canada's Centennial festivities that were being held across Canada. There were several local newspapers that covered current events in the township including; some covering specific villages on Cooksville or Streetsville and others focusing on the entire Township. Some of these newspapers include The Herald (1897-1901?), The Bulletin (Streetsville 1843-1844) to The Booster (1964 - present) and the Mississauga Times (1974-1981?).
