Commentaires : This rotary drill is also known as an auger. Augers are designed to remove or move material (solid or liquid) from a source by cutting through it. Augers can be handcrafted or manufactured in various shapes and sizes, and are used for a wide variety of purposes. They usually consist of a vertical screw or spiral type of twisted rod, or "bit" that is attached perpendicular to a horizontal handle. The handle allows the user to maneuver the auger bit effectively. Auger bits may be formed using a steel rod, "upset and square- tapered on one end to fit the chuck." The cutting blade is formed using a chisel or file.
