| Description : | These shoes are slightly curved flat pieces of iron. Each shoe has three small holes for nails running down the centre, and a lip curving up at each end to help hold the shoe onto the ox's hoof. |
| Commentaires : | Because oxen are cloven-hoofed, a shoe of a single piece, like a horse shoe, cannot be used. Instead, oxen need a separate shoe for each half of their hoof, or two shoes per hoof. These shoes were donated by John Robert Brushett, and may have been made by a local blacksmith. |
