Description : | It is a large, solid oak desk with inlaid leather in the top. There are ornate metal handles on the drawers and cupboards of the desk and there is a large open space under the center of the desk. The desk is stained a bright brown colour and the leather is greyish black. |
Fonctions : | This elaborate, solid, oak desk with inlaid leather and many pigeon holes was not a typical station agent's desk. It is said to have been used by R. G. Reid, most probably R.G. Reid Jr., General Superintendant of the Railway from 1908 to 1923. In recent times, it was the desk of the Passenger Agent at teh St John's Station. |
