Description : | WWII Military equipment. Kidney shape similar to a flask. Covered with wool & closed with a cork stopper on a string. |
Commentaires : | These items belonged to Sgt. Everett Prosser. He enlisted in Saint John NB in 1940, with the 4th Canadian Motorcycle Regiment, otherwise known as the 8th Princess Lousie NB Hussars. Overseas he qualified as a driver I.C. (W) Class III and driver operator (C). Promoted to SGT. and served as Troop Sgt. in the U.K., Italy and North-West Europe. Returned to Canada in January 1946. |
Fonctions : | Used by British Empire forces at the start of the Second World War. During its service life, a number of variants were manufactured in different parts of the Empire and an assortment of webbing and leather harnesses were developed for use with this style of bottle. |
