Commentaires : Based on history, the Mi'kmaq spent winters in the woods and spent their summers down at the shore. There is evidence of several settlements along the water side of what is now known as Youghall Drive.  The Nepisiquit River, the Tetagouche River and Little River flow into what is now known as the Bathurst Harbour. Our donor, Dolan LeBlanc found these arrowheads while gardening in his back yard which borders on the shore of the Bathurst Harbour.  The Recollect missionaries settled in that area from 1619 to 1624. These arrowheads would have been there prior to 1619.
Fonctions : Arrowheads were used to create weapons. These arrowheads were found on former Mi'kmaq grounds of the Tetagouche River now known as Youghall, an area of Bathurst, NB.
