Description : | Circular plaster crest on wood shield. Gladiator in full silver armour, draped in red with gold shields on it, riding black horse. Red and gold feather-like headdress. |
Commentaires : | County class destroyer HMS Fife was launched by the Duchess of that county in 1964 and is the first warship to be named after the Scottish kingdom. Like other counties" FIfe" has been a flagship on several occasions including wearing the flag of FOF2. She was first to be refitted with ADAWSI, (automated weapons system) which linked into Seaalug 11. The ship was refitted at Portsmouth in 1979-1981. |
