Description : | Rectangular wash board made of wood. Smaller ribbed glass rectangle surrounded by wood edges. Top of board contains the inked information about the manufacturer and title of object. Other side contains a compartment in the wood for the soap to be placed in while washing. Ink label is very faded in this part. |
Fonctions : | Vetcraft Workshops were set up across Canada in 1918 (post WW1) by the Canadian Red Cross for wounded soldiers. This way, those who were unable to go back into the forces could get paid work. Most were shut in the early 1930s. |
