| Description : | *There are three groupings of blocks held together by straight pins along with one block that is individual* START OF FIRST GROUPING OF BLOCKS A- 1 block with an image of the flag of the Dominican Republic. Block background is yellow and outside border is brown. The flag itself is made up of a white cross in the center that allows for four squares (two red, two blue) on the outside of the cross. B- 1 block with an image of the flag of Turkey. Background is green and border is brown. Flag is on a yellow mast. Flag is a deep red with an image of a white half-moon and single star in its center. C/D- 2 blocks with an image of the flag of Paraguay. Background is yellow and border is brown. The flag is on a red mast. Flag itself is made up of three horizontal stripes (red, white, blue) and, a bit to the left, an image of a white circle with blue laurel leaves and a black star in its center. E- 1 block with an image of the flag of France. Background is a faded blue colour and the border is brown as well. The flag is on a red mast and is made up of three vertical stripes (blue, white, red) END OF FIRST GROUPING OF BLOCKS START OF SECOND GROUPING OF BLOCKS F- 1 block with an image of flag of Japan. Background is yellow and border is brown. Flag is made up of a deep red circle (the sun) in the center and 32 rays descending toward the borders of the flag (16 red, 16 white). Flag is on a dark blue-coloured mast. G- 1 block with an image of the flag of Egypt. Background is olive green and border is brown. Flag is on a yellow mast. Flag itself is a deep red colour with 3 white half-moons all with white stars beside them. 3 moons and stars are centered toward the left of the flag. H- 1 block with an image of the flag of the Republic of China. Background is yellow and border is brown. Flag is on a red mast and is made up of 5 horizontal lines (red, yellow, blue, white, black). I- 1 block with an image of the flag of Honduras. Background is dark brown as is border of the block. The flag is on a gold-coloured mast and is made up of three horizontal stripes (blue, white, blue). In the center of the white stripe are five blue stars. J-1 block with an image of the flag of Panama. Background is yellow and boarder is brown. The flag is on a red mast and is made up of 4 squares; all equal sizes. Two squares (upper left corner and lower right corner) are white. One of the white squares (upper left corner) has a blue star in its center and the other white square (lower right corner) has a red star it its center. Other two squares are red and blue. END OF SECOND GROUPING OF BLOCKS START OF THIRD GROUPING OF BLOCKS K-1 block with an image of the flag of Siam (now known as Thailand). Flag is waving on a yellow mast and is coloured a deep red. White image of an elephant facing left, standing on a visible ground is in the flag's center. L-1 block with an image of the flag of Australia. Flag is waving on a red mast. Flag is dark blue with several stars (stars of David) scattered all over; concentrated on the right side. In the upper left hand corner is an Union Jack. M-1 block with an image of the flag of Peru. Flag is waving on a yellow mast. Flag is amde up of three vertical stripes (red, white, red) N-1 block with an image of the flag of Uruguay. Flag is on a red mast. Flag is made up of 9 alternation (white, blue) horizontal stripes. In the upper left hand corner is a white square with an image of a sun in its center. O-1 block with an image if the flag of Belgium. Flag is waving on a yellow mast and is made up of three vertical stripes (brown, yellow, red) END OF THIRD GROUPING OF BLOCKS P-1 individual block with image of butterfly on light green background. Butterfly has its wings spread. Wings are made up of a myriad of different colours including purple, pink, blue and black. There are six circles on its body (symmetrical with one another) *All quilt blocks have the names of the countries printed in the bottom right hang corner* |
