Description : | Paper weight is a solid cylinder-like piece (tusk section?) tapering slightly towards top. Top has 8 carved figures on it. (3 larger, 5 smaller) These include Shou-Lao, a boy with a peach and two attendants, P'eng-tzu with a jui-I scepter and a smiling bearded man. Back side of base has an etched mountain scene with trees and water. Front side of base has very small finely incised calligraphy covering it in columns. There is an overall toned amber staining. |
